55th Reunion Banquet

The Banquet at Angelo's Ristorante in Elmhurst was attended by eighty-nine classmates and guests.

Before dinner, violinist Karen Sterling Fahnstock accompanied six former York choir members and guests for a dinner blessing.

The rest of the evening was devoted to dining and conversation so diverse and avid that the dance music playlist was dropped from the program.

Instead, we looked again at the Elmhurst K-8 school photo books, took our own pictures of the same classmates decades later, visited the dessert table more than we should have, and talked with everyone there.

All those born in August, September, and October joined birthday girl Fran Weiss Fach for a round of Happy Birthday from the group, and their own mini-cupcake.

The sextet choir sang a travel blessing of May God Bless and Keep You, and at the end of the evening, we all left with full and happy hearts.
