I had met him shortly after we moved to Elmhurst in 1954. We attended Jackson School and his family attended Epiphany Lutheran Church where Don and I were an acolyte team. We played in the Elmhurst Jr. High band for 2 years and followed that by singing in smilin Jack Witmers choir for our last 2 years at York. Sadly, we had not been in touch in the recent past, but the memories are still alive. RIP buddy

I was saddened to hear of Don's passing.
